This image of the Andromeda Galaxy was the first "resurrected" light test of the SHSU Epsilon 200 astrograph. The image was taken right after the NJP mount was upgraded to the Temma 2 goto system and the astrograph cleaned and collimated.  The CCD camera used was my personal QHY8 OSC.  Clicking on the picture will load the full resolution image.  Needless to say, the members of HAAS and the faculty at the Astronomy and Physics department at SHSU considered the resurrection and upgrade of the old Epsilon 200/NJP system successful after this first light image was acquired.

This is a full spectrum image of the interacting Galaxy pair M81 and M82.  This image was acquired with my personal APM 130 at f6 and my personal QHY8 OSC CCD camera from Judy Culver's observatory.  Note that even without the use of H-alpha Luminance layering, the jets of matter ejected from the core of the Cigar galaxy can be clearly seen. Clicking on the picture will load the full resolution image.

This image of the large spiral galaxy M106 and the area around it showing multiple galaxies was acquired with my APM130 at f6 using my QHY8 OSC from Judy Culver's observatory.  Clicking on the picture will load a higher resolution image.

This image of the Whirlpool Galaxy which is actually two closely interacting galaxies was acquired with my APM130 at f6 using my QHY8 OSC from the SHSU observatory North of Huntsville, TX.  Clicking on the picture will load the full resolution image.
